Self-paying accessible taxi customers
Lähitaksi also serves self-paying customers who require accessible transportation. Our accessible taxi service is available throughout our entire service area: Uusimaa, Riihimäki, Rovaniemi, and Levi.
Accessible taxi booking – in advance or on-demand
We recommend booking an accessible taxi well in advance – as early as 30 days before and no later than 1 hour prior to the desired departure time. You can also place an on-demand order, but please note that availability varies significantly depending on the region and time of day.
When placing a pre-order, we ask whether you can be flexible with the departure time by ±15 minutes. We always aim to arrange a vehicle for the requested time. This flexibility is only applied if the transport has not yet been confirmed in time. This ensures smooth service for all customers, even during peak hours.
Accessible taxis charge an assistance fee (€15.00 or €30.00) for the service, as well as an advance booking fee (€10.00) for pre-orders. The advance booking fee is not charged in special cases specified in Section 6 of the current tariff regulation. Please note that accessible taxis use minivan taxi rates regardless of the number of passengers. See the Lähitaksi price list.

1. When placing a booking, please provide:
- Your name
- Pick-up address and any additional details (e.g., entrance or stairwell)
- Destination
- Departure time (only for pre-orders – not needed for on-demand bookings)
- Any intermediate stops
- Information about assistive devices and the type of accessible vehicle requested (e.g., with ramp or lift)
- A contact phone number, if different from the one used to place the order
- Any other relevant information
2. Order confirmation and changes
- You will receive information about the estimated arrival time of the vehicle after placing the order.
- If there are any changes to your taxi journey or if you need to cancel the ride, please notify us as soon as possible.
